In February with the stilt group ‘Full Stilt’ Which is our creative stilting collective we created a winter light trail to celebrate the end of Winter and the hopeful coming of Spring our light trail explored the theme of night-time pollinators looking at the world of Moths and and how important they are to the eco-system.
Working with our lovely friends Eye of newt who Installed interactive Illuminated flowers through the forest and the trail culminated in dancing at the moth ball in which we were two performers dressed in our Moth stilt costumes designed and created by myself. The two moth characters are inspired by different hawk moth species the oleander hawk moth and the elephant hawk moth.

It was really cool to get the chance to design these stilt costumes and amazingly they’ve been booked for other events this winter so I’m currently thinking how we can improve the lights and super excited to see them go out again for Walk the plank’s ‘Wild wanders’ event.
