This amazing project was produced by Cabasa carnival arts and in collaboration with them I designed a series of 10 batiks working with local community groups a local writer facilitated a creative writing workshop and came up with some amazing poetry with the participants which I then turned into 10 Batik designs which were made into the beautiful silk hair panels for the lead image of the spared the beautiful SON – the spirit of the north. Here are my designs and the batik outcomes.
